I groom cats for a living. Only cats.
In 2010, I opened a grooming salon in California where I groomed both dogs and cats and managed several employees. At the time, I thought I had my dream job.
Then life brought me to North Carolina in 2021. That's when I started Ready Set Groom as a mobile, cat-only grooming service, and I quickly realized this was the dream I had been searching for all along.
Today, I spend my days driving through the beautiful towns and countryside of North Carolina, meeting wonderful people, building lasting relationships, and helping their cats look and feel their best.
As a Certified Feline Master Groomer, I am passionate about providing specialized, stress-conscious care exclusively for cats. Every day brings a new adventure, a new feline friend, and another reminder of how blessed I am to do what I love.
What started as a career has become a calling. I truly love what I do and couldn't imagine doing anything else. ❤️

Meet Jaycee.
Hi, I'm Jaycee, Kim's daughter-in-law and the other half of Ready Set Groom. I groom cats on Mondays, and I've been professionally grooming for over seven years. I truly love what I do and take pride in providing compassionate, stress-free care for every feline client. I'm currently working toward my own Certified Feline Master Groomer certification.
As a devoted Christian, wife, and mother of three, my faith and family are at the heart of everything I do. When I'm not grooming, you'll find me spending time with my family at the racetrack, cheering on my husband and son as they race.
I look forward to caring for your cat as if they were one of my own!
Certified, not just experienced
Certified Feline Master Groomer, and why it matters.
CFMG · NCGIAA lot of people who groom cats were trained to groom dogs and apply the same products and techniques to a very different animal. That can cause more problems than it solves.
My certification comes from the National Cat Groomers Institute of America, the only association offering quality training built specifically for cats. Earning the Certified Feline Master Groomer title took nine exams covering both written knowledge and hands-on grooming. It's the difference between someone who will groom your cat and someone trained to do it safely and well.
